Some you may remember that after the St. Louis game, Coach K skipped the press conference what was termed a "family matter."
Some people in the media suggested that this was really a ruse and part of a feud with Rick Majerus.
That was stupid then and stupider now: the reason, as many of you know, is that Debbie Krzyzewski Savarino suffered a mild stroke at around that time.
In one of the nicer things Duke fans have done lately, this became one of the worst kept secrets around the program.
In other words, people allowed the family to deal with this privately which is very kind and not at all common these days.
Best of luck to Debbie in her recovery, which we hope will be full and speedy.
