Well Not Exactly

We're guessing that Robert Mills has never been to a game in Cameron.  We haven't heard any comments of the sort he described in Cameron since the Herman Veal game, and certainly not anything that is any worse than the rest of the world.  For instance, at LSU, Christian Laettner was called "faggot,"  and in some ACC gyms too. Criminal behavior has become a real problem at West Virginia.

What happens at Maryland is a complete disgrace.  We've seen fights break out at State games, which we've never seen in Durham.  And in Chapel Hill, when they're not preoccupied with NCAA investigations or easing football players through non-demanding classes, people have been shoved down stairs and beaten outside of dormitories for the simple crime of wearing a Duke logo.

You park a car in Chapel Hill with a Duke bumper sticker at your own peril.

At Duke, by contrast, Shammond Williams felt comfortable enough to come hang out at K-ville and spoke warmly of his experience.  We can't remember anyone else ever being concerned for their safety either.  So take his critique for what it's worth.

And by the way, whenever things do get edgy, who steps up immediately to insist on good sportsmanship? That's right - SI's Sportsman of the Year.
