With a young and now injury-plagued team, Duke still put a scare into Virginia before falling, 31-21. Look, like everyone we wish Duke had more wins under their belt, but take the long view: this is a program that's undergoing more than the normal rebuilding. The talent is getting better and the coaching is solid. Anyone who is getting concerned should remember the early K years and the payoff we got for being patient as he built his program. David Cutcliffe is a very good man and he's doing a solid job. In many ways actually he reminds us of a southern-fried version of Coach K. He's blunt and honest and doing things the right way.
We just need to have faith and give him the time he needs.
