You have to give Maryland fans a certain amount of credit for continuing their Ahab-like pursuit of Duke. We understand their feelings about playing Duke, but for most Duke fans, win or lose, once the game is over, that's that.
Duke fans don't chant " go to hell Maryland" when Michigan State visits.
It's fun beating Maryland, not least of all to watch their fans gnash their teeth, but it's not the same as beating (or losing) to Carolina. Enjoy your rivalry; we'll enjoy ours.
