Things are going from bad to worse for Wake Forest. While Georgia Tech deserves a lot of credit for what they did to Carolina, this is still a team with serious issues. Therefore, you wouldn't necessarily expect them to utterly dominate Wake Forest. But dominate they did, beating the Deacs 74-39. Things are going from bad to worse for Wake Forest. You might have to look a while to find the answer to that one.

On the bright side, Wake Forest did get Tony Chennault back, albeit with a lot of rust.

Stat of the game: Wake Forest had just six assists.

Virginia came close to upsetting Boston College, but Reggie Jackson had other plans, hitting a key three-pointer late and several free throws to seal the deal.

Both programs are improving and well coached. It'll be fun to watch both develop.

Miami had their chances, but could not hold off Florida State as the Seminoles won,55-53.

FSU held Reggie Johnson to seven points, although the big man did get in foul trouble again and played just 24 minutes.

By now, when you see a story about Roy Williams turning on his fans, it's old hat. He did this at Kansas and he's done it in Chapel Hill as well. In a nutshell: Ol' Roy didn't appreciate the calls on his radio show wondering what was wrong with his team. His diplomatic response?

“ I’m really proud of those kids. Everybody talked about how poorly they played at Georgia Tech. My radio call [show] last night stunk; everybody was talking about how they were Carolina fans for 9 million years and how bad we are; I don’t give a damn how long you’re a Carolina fan, those are kids in the locker room, and they played their buns off tonight.

"I can remember working for Coach [Dean] Smith, and we go down to Clemson, and we got beat 93-76, and I thought the world was going to end. … But I didn’t have everybody calling up the TV show, talking about my team. Don’t call me next week and say how good we are; keep your damn phone calls to yourself.”

Look, we can understand the frustration and obviously Coach K has called out Duke fans on occasion over the years. But in this particular situation, Williams gets compensated fairly nicely for during the radio show. It's a chance to connect with the fans.

Rather than doing that, he just attacked them. Keep that up and don't be surprised if they keep more than their calls to themselves.

Just one game on Thursday as the Hokies visit Maryland with both teams really needing a win - which, as usual in the ACC, makes for compelling basketball.
