It's amazing how things change. A few years ago, the prevailing thought seemed to be that the U.S. had been surpassed by the rest of the world. Now a lot of people, including the insightful Charley Rosen, think the situation has completely flipped. And there is probably some truth to that: as we have argued for some time now, if the U.S. takes a team that is aggressive and plays a powerful and disruptive defense, there's no one in the world that can match it. The old international strategies will have to be revisited.
It's also worth saying this: perception is important, and if the general perception is that the U.S. is going to dominate, well, that's a big part of the battle.
