Shane Battier has said that in the NBA, games often run together and it's hard to get excited about any one in particular. Odds are he will remember this weekend's game for a long time as he and Grant Hill, among others, were invited to play with President Obama as part of an occasion for wounded veterans. Also participating: Carmelo Anthony, Chauncey Billups, Derek Fisher, LeBron James, Earvin "Magic" Johnson, Maya Moore, Alonzo Mourning, Chris Paul, Derrick Rose, Bill Russell, Etan Thomas, Dwyane Wade and Garner's David West.
Presumably, now in his 70s, Russell did not play. But if he did, we are betting his team won.
