It's still not entirely clear just what is happening in Chapel Hill, but UNC is taking it seriously enough to go out and hire an expert on NCAA enforcement: Rick Evrard worked for the NCAA seven years and now works with schools under investigation.
The broad outlines are fairly obvious: the NCAA is clearly looking at players and agents and any role in all of this of assistant UNC football coach John Blake.
UNC's defensive move suggests that the earlier supposition that this would end simply with the suspension of a a player or two may no longer be operative.
