Louisville's finest was Wes Unseld. Check out the cool e-mail response:

The photo is of a very young Wes Unseld. I first saw him play in the Sweet Sixteen Kentucky high school tournament in 1962 or 1963. He played center for Seneca High in Louisville. Wes was actually about 6'6" or 6'7", but he was a huge man. Seneca's forwards were listed at 6'8" and 6'11". One guard was about 6'4" and the other was about 5'10". The offense was to throw the ball to Unseld in the high post and cut around him.

I also saw him a few years later, about 1966, when he was throwing discus for UL. I was judging the event, which was at my undergrad alma mater, Centre College, and also included Transylvania College. Unseld threw the discus farther with his warmup jacket on than the kids from Centre and Transy. Standing next to him, I felt like I was about 6 years old. He was massive.
