In Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Dwight Howard personally eliminated most of Boston's frontcourt. First, Kendrick Perkins went out after drawing his second technical of the game and seventh of the playoffs, meaning that he should be suspended for Game Six.
Howard also gave concussions to Glenn Davis and Marquis Daniels.
They may all miss Game Six, leaving the Celtics with just Kevin Garnett, the erratic Rasheed Wallace and Shelden Williams up front. They may also become the first team ever to lose a 3-0 lead.
For Williams, who hasn't played a lot this season, it's a huge opportunity. Let's see what he does with it.
For the Magic, JJ Redick had 14 points in 22 minutes.
Really, when you think about it, the two conference finals are about as riveting as we've seen in a long time.
Postscript: after the game, Davis said this: "I'm all right. I'll be back next game. ... That's all you need to print."
