Like a lot of people in the Triangle, we have heard about the awful murders in Roanoke Rapids. If you haven't heard, a 65-year-old woman from Durham and her 92-year-old mother were stabbed to death in the mother's house, which is pretty much the epitome of a senseless crime.
We were informed by e-mail Sunday night that the daughter, Nancy Burgess, is an Iron Duke and a Cameron regular.
We were so sorry to hear this. Our sympathies and prayers go out to her family and we fervently hope that justice is served.
