Freedom Hall has been one of the great home courts in college basketball for a long time. Louisville is going to move into a new arena next season and will open with Butler.
Having a new arena is nice, but you have to be careful when you name a place. Playing in a place called the KFC Yum! Center, well, the arena might be better, but the name is a step back. On the other hand, it matches the Papa John's Stadium and Louisville is cornering the market on food-themed restaurants.
By the way, it's obviously not intentional, but it's hilarious to think that Rick Pitino, of all people, will be coaching in an arena named for a restaurant.
