One of the great confrontations of American history came when President Andrew Jackson, unhappy with a Supreme Court decision, thundered "John Marshall has made his decision, now let him enforce it!"
Sounds kind of like the reaction to Oliver Purnell's ascension at DePaul, where the local high school coaches are distinctly unhappy.
What's remarkable to us here is not that the coaches are unhappy, but they clearly feel as if they have enough power not just keep Purnell away from their kids, but you also keep their kids away from Purnell. Sounds like an interesting time for the new coach.
