After a lousy game in Durham, Maryland had a great outing against Virginia, winning 85-66 and shooting 70% in the first half. Greivis Vasquez scored 25 for the Terps, which came on 12-19 shooting. He also had eight rebounds and five assists. All the starters finished in double figures except for Sean Mosely, whos' been lousy from the field lately.

Tuesday night sees two interesting and very different games: nascent Virginia Tech and Wake Forest scrap in Blacksburg, while a desperate pair dance when Carolina and Georgia Tech go at it in Atlanta.
UNC is up to ninth, while Tech has fallen to eighth. The loser is all but done. Nothing spells ACC tradition like sheer, blind desperation.
For UNC, Tyler Zeller is amost but not quite back, while Travis Wear and Ed Davis are defintiely out.
Both Virginia Tech and Wake are about to clinch a bid, in our opinion, with the winner taking a major step towards a higher seed.
