In Sunday night ACC action, Florida State beat B.C., 62-47, blowing open what had been a close game for the first half. Perhaps most impressively, they forced 20 turnovers out of the Eagles. They're very reluctant to give the ball up, so that's an impressive stat.

And it may be creeping up on El Sid as well. In his case, though, he deserves a chance to get his next class in, which is looking pretty good, and getting five solid ACC-level players on the floor. Judge him after that.

A lot of people thought Maryland maybe had an advantage at Duke since the snow and the delay of the Virginia game gave them extra time to prepare. Didn't work out quite that way, and now the backside is a penalty as they have three games in five days and four in a week: at Duke, Virginia rescheduled for Monday, and then back to the Triangle on Wednesday for a date with State.
And then on Saturday, they get Georgia Tech at home. That's a brutal stretch for anyone.
