You can sign Kobe Bryant up for the London Games: on Coach K's XM show, Bryant said this: "You guys want me there, I am there and I'm ready to defend. And then when you guys need me to put some points on the board I'll do that, too."
Pretty good news. The only possible problem is that by 2012 Bryant might be getting a bit long in the tooth for a basketball player by then. He could still be an elder statesman if nothing else, much like Jason Kidd was before him.
