We can understand why the Big East would want to add TCU...but it's really bizarre when you think about it. Aside from the (continued) stress between the football side of things and the basketball only group, having 17 basketball teams in one conference...well it's just too much. What's the point? Where are the rivalries? They're really going to pack it in when DePaul hits TCU for a game.
This is the point where the Romans decided it made better administrative sense to split the empire in half.
Aside from everything else, when you have South Florida, TCU and Marquette in the conference, and when TCU leaves the Mountain West to join, it's time to stop using the word East.
