ACC Roundup!

After what can only be called a pathetic loss to Kennesaw Staate -- oops, sorry, we're not in the Netherlands -- State -- Georgia Tech bounced back with a much better performance against Albany, winning 78-51.  They had a 34 point lead at one point.

Things get more interesting on Thursday:  there are some blah games -- ECU at NC State, Isaiah's FIU at FSU, Yale at BC -- but also UNC playing Hofstra in the Puerto Rico Tip Off (along competing: West Virginia, Minnesota, Western Kentucky, Davidson and Nebraska), and Tony Bennett heads back to the PAC-10 for a day to take on Johnny Dawkins and Stanford.  But the highlight will be #4 Pitt vs. Maryland in the Garden.  And on Friday, they'll get either Illinois or Texas.

It's way early, but Jordan Williams is averaging 21 ppg and 13.7 rpg.

Barry Jacobs has some interesting thoughts on UNC football as the scandal unfolds and what could have been a tricky vote -- but now likely won't be.

Speaking of UNC, the Heels could play Michigan State next year on an aircraft carrier.  The location is said to be undetermined, but come on: it'll be on the ocean. It's not like you can park that thing in Cary.

The obviously tempting thought for those of us who don't care much for UNC is that one or more players chase a ball significantly out of bounds.
