For a long time now, we've really wondered what we could do here with a staff. We think we've done okay with minimal resources, but what if we had a few other high quality writers on board? Well, we just might get a chance to find out.
We had enough of a budget to bring Barry Jacobs and his statistical analysis back after a hiatus; we're happy to say that he debuts today.
But we were also later contacted by Jim Sumner and Al Featherston, both of whom expressed an interest in contributing on a regular basis.

Needless to say, we were delighted. Not only would this add two wonderful writers, but it also gives us two guys with locker room access. That's something we've never had.
We reached out to our partners at SB Nation, who very graciously agreed to start us up with $1,000.00 beyond our original agreement which will take us a ways, but not as far as we'd like. So after talking to Al and Jim, we decided to let you guys decide how much they'll contribute: we're launching a fundraiser strictly for contributors, which starts today.
You guys know what Jim and Al can do; both have written about Duke and the ACC for decades. We couldn't be more excited. We hope you'll support them and consider what adding them to this site on a regular basis is worth to you:
- a dime a day? That works out to $36.50 per year.
- a dollar a week? That works out to $52 dollars a year.
- .50 cents per day? $182.50 a year.
We'll keep you posted on where things are. If things go really well, we might explore adding others.
