John Feinstein says the ACC is basically irrelevant, and that's hard to argue with. Ron Morris more or less agrees. Feinstein says that it's a basketball conference still, although even that's not what it used to be.
A lot of that, though, has to do with hiring mediocre coaches. Virginia got a pretty good one this summer, and Duke, UNC, Maryland and Clemson are in good hands. The rest? Well, a number of them could use an upgrade.
