Although State started their season Thursday, everyone else starts Saturday except for Miami and Florida State, who for some reason are scheduled for Monday. TV we understand, but why schedule this game so early?
Anyway, Duke obviously starts with Richmond. Duke is improved, but we can't say absolutely yet that this is a sure win. In a year or so there will be no question; it could be that way as early as Saturday evening. Here are the official notes from Richmond's site and here are Duke's.
Otherwise, about half are starting with a sure win. UNC takes on the Citadel, Georgia Tech kicks off with Jacksonville State, B.C. gets Northeastern, Clemson gets Middle Tennessee State, and Virginia gets William & Mary.
On the competitive side of things, Wake hosts Baylor, Maryland goes to Cal, and Virginia Tech hosts Alabama.
