The Arkansas Case

Obviously we have no idea of exactly what happened at Arkansas where, like at Duke, a woman accused three athletes of raping her. The prosecutor declined to press charges, saying that there was "insufficient evidence."

A resident of the frat house where whatever happened happened walked in and allegedly saw two basketball players and the woman in a sexual situation and the fraternity members asked them all to leave.

The accuser is apparently contemplating a civil suit, so whatever happens there will presumably provide some clarification.

But what is clear is this: the prosecutor declined to behave as Mike Nifong did. We're certain that that case ran through their minds during this process. If that's the legacy of the Duke lacrosse scandal, or one of them anyway, it's not a bad legacy.
