The Greatness Of '86

There have been some really seminal Duke teams over the years - the Heyman-Mullins squads were brilliant, 1978 is legendary, and any number really during the Krzyzewski era. Arguably, though, the best four of K's teams were the back-to-back title teams, 2001, and 1986, with 1999 not far behind any of them. For Krzyzewski, while he might argue, as coaches tend to do, that he has no favorite, he might go so far as to say that 1986 was his most important.
