This editorial kind of caught us by surprise with an off-handed comment: remember how much grief Bruce Weber got for losing Eric Gordon and Derrick Rose? Look what happened to Indiana and Memphis. Makes you think of Weber a bit differently, no? At one point when he replaced Bill Self, frustrated, he held a mock burial for the Self era. Well, Kelvin Sampson's NCAA career is buried and Memphis is 0-38. He must be feeling a bit better about things. One hopes Illini fans are as well.
