The guys at Buster Sports are taking on an interesting project: a 64-seed tournament to decide who the best coach in ACC history is.
Let's cut some suspense: the higher seeds are going to win. The only "upset" possible is Vic Bubas, who for some reason is seeded #3 in the North region, behind his old boss, Everett Case, and Gary Williams. Bubas was really, really good, better than Case, and while he didn't win a title, Williams didn't have to deal with John Wooden being in the way, either. His great two-year run with Juan Dixon and Steve Blake aside, Williams has not been as good as Bubas was, year in and year out.
This tournament really needs a consolation round.
