Regarding your "Astounding Really" headline...
For many years, in the ACC market, for whatever reason, ESPN has always had the right to broadcast the 7:00 ACC Tourney game (seems like both on Thurs and Fri). I watched the other games on WRAL, but ESPN won't let them show the 7pm game. It was on ESPN in the Triangle.
