ACC Roundup!

In ACC Tuesday night action, there's an interesting game on tap between Maryland and Clemson.  Clemson will be at home, but suddenly, the moods may have reversed.

Clemson recently was flying high, with their stunning win over Duke and at 5-2 in the conference and 19-2 overall, they should have been confident.

Too confident?  Something happened.  Clemson is now 6-4 in the ACC, after a home loss to FSU and a shocking road loss to weak sister Virginia.

Maryland, meanwhile, has hit their stride and is playing hard and with a purpose.  They still have some big disadvantages (like Trevor Booker, for one), but it's a lot more interesting than it was, say, 10 days ago, no?  Are the Tigers "starting to feel pressure?"

Just as interesting is the fact that UNC is about to activate Tyler Zeller.  Roy Williams has been pretty clear on this: it's not a good idea to bring him back yet (He may even have used words like "dumb" or "stupid).  UNC is doing well although depth is a problem.  We can see why they'd want some backup now, but it's risky since they'd only get a few games out of him his freshman year.  If they hit paydirt, then it's okay, of course, although he still might miss what his freshman year could have been.

Feel like going to the tournament this year?  For the first time in 42 years, the ACC may release tickets to the public. That's what they get for playing in the Georgia Dome.
