Wake's Al-Farouq Aminu will be eligible right away after a plea-bargain deal assured him that he'd only be charged with misdemeanors after shooting a BB gun at Rebecca Baltich (although it's not clear if he or one of his friends actually pulled the trigger). Apparently Mrs. Baltich was the one who decided that it wasn't a serious matter and requested leniency.
Speaking of Wake, we're very sorry to report that assistant coach Jeff Battle's wife has died of cancer. Joyce Battle was only 44.
