Randy Hill of the Sporting News thinks that the national team program has a bright future. We would tend to agree, but what's required now is, again, some fresh thinking.
Before the Olympics, everyone was skeptical that a college coach could do it. Now, many seem to think that's a given. Finding someone who can command respect from the players is the key thing, whoever that might be, and getting people, from top to bottom, to subordinate themselves to the program is key.
Jerry Colangelo hasn't committed to sticking with the program, but Coach K says he'll help out in some capacity.
