Michael Gillespie, a Duke professor who has been supportive of Duke athletics and who was a promising football player in his own day, has a column up about the differences in U.S. and Chinese culture as it was reflected in the Olympics, and why a great performance by China in London would be a really good thing.  He's an interesting guy and somewhat like Coach K, thinks in unconventional patterns, which is almost always a useful habit.
