U.S. 101, Argentina 81

Argentina came at the U.S. with enormous heart, putting a scare into them even though they lost Manu Ginobili in the first quarter with an injury.  The U.S. let down more than they have at any point in the tournament and let a depleted Argentina take the game into the fourth quarter when it could have been out of reach earlier.  Argentina is tough, smart, and well coached, and they showed it.
Sunday, the U.S. takes on Spain for the gold medal. The Spanish team surely took notes on how Argentina managed to slow the U.S. and you can expect to see some of the same tactics in the championship game. More later.
