A Quick Look At This Year's Roster

We'll get into this sort of thing much more when the season is closer, but here's a quick look at the roster, first by class and then by size.  In the second chart, we didn't include the walk-ons.

The thing you notice most quickly is that the roster is quite a bit bigger.  With a healthy Brian Zoubek, and rookies Olek Czyz and Miles Plumlee, Duke has more size than they've had in a while.  This should allow Lance Thomas and Kyle Singler to play their natural games and to spend far less time in the post.

But there are a couple of bonuses beyond that.  The first is health:  Zoubek, Dave McClure, Marty Pocius and Gerald Henderson should all be healthy and good to go.

And secondly, Czyz and Henderson both play taller than they actually are.
