Given all the hype about the Oklahoma State job, landing Travis Ford probably seems like a bit of a disappointment. After all, they were hot after Bill Self, and John Calipari's name was getting tossed around, and so were some huge numbers. It probably seems like a bit of a comedown for a lot of OSU partisans. Still, we're willing to bet that he got a strong recommendation from Rick Pitino, which can't hurt, and most people in the profession probably have a favorable impression. He'll be under an enormous amount of pressure, but he's also got a considerable opportunity.
