Barry Jacobs On Losing Streaks!

Duke is doing its part to extend losing streaks around the ACC, or at least trying, having now ended its own sour run at two straight.

The Blue Devils defeated Georgia Tech on Feb. 27, extending the Yellow Jackets' string of defeats to five in a row.

Paul Hewitt's club plays its next three games at home, against Wake Forest, Virginia, and Clemson. The Jackets won at Wake and at Virginia in the teams' previous meeting this year. Of course playing at Alexander Memorial Coliseum has not been much help for the Techsters, as they are 4-6 at home in 2007-08.

Next Duke heads to Raleigh, where the Wolfpack has lost six straight, one short of the longest dry spell endured by an ACC squad this season. The last time N.C. State lost more than four consecutive games was 2000, when it dropped seven in a row. The longest losing streak in the ACC last season (7) was endured by Miami, the last-place finisher.
