Works For Us!

This is an excerpt from the latest column by Gary Parrish over at CBS Sportsline. Pretty tempting stuff:

1. The five most efficient offensive teams in the nation, according to KenPom.com, are Kansas, Texas, UCLA, Duke and North Carolina.

2. The five most efficient defensive teams in the nation, according to KenPom.com, are Memphis, Kansas, Wisconsin, Stanford and Louisville.

3. The reason these numbers are important is because the past four national champions have all possessed offenses and defenses that ranked in the top 12 nationally in terms of adjusted efficiency. Only three schools meet the criteria this season. They are Kansas (first in offense and second in defense), UCLA (third in offense and eighth in defense) and Duke (fourth in offense and sixth in defense).
