Replay Photos Doing A Good Thing

The Virginia Tech murders have moved all of us. Our pals at Replay Photos are trying to help raise some money for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, and we're happy to pass this on to you guys.VIRGINIA TECH ATHLETICS AND HOKIEPHOTOS.COM PARNTER TO RAISE DOLLARS FOR HOKIE SPIRIT MEMORIAL FUND

HokiePhotos.com to Donate all Proceeds from Sale of Virginia Tech Photography

Durham, NC – In light of last week’s tragic events, the Virginia Tech Athletic Department has partnered with www.HokiePhotos.com to develop a unique program to raise money for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. Through HokiePhotos.com, a website developed and operated by the Department of Athletics’ contract partner, Replay Photos, customers can now purchase photos of The Candlelight Vigil and The Convocation held on Virginia Tech’s campus. Profits from the sale of all Virginia Tech campus images will be donated to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund.

Virginia Tech Athletic Director Jim Weaver wanted to find a way to make these momentous images available to the public while also raising dollars for the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund. The Fund was established by the University to honor the victims of the tragic events and also aid in the healing process. While a portion of the proceeds from each sale is normally paid back to Virginia Tech as a royalty fee, the Athletics Department has chosen to redirect such royalties to the Fund. Replay Photos has joined the effort, donating all profits the company generates to the Fund as well.

“We want to extend our deepest sympathy to the Virginia Tech family and all who have been touched by this tragic event,” Replay Photos company president Sue Harnett said. “Recognizing the demand for photos of The Vigil and The Convocation, the Athletic Department approached us to help bring these meaningful images to the Virginia Tech family, while also waiving all royalties and profits. We are humbled and honored to contribute our proceeds to such a worthy cause.”

HokiePhotos.com offers the most comprehensive collection of Virginia Tech athletic and campus images available for sale on line. All of the images have been captured by professional photographers and are reproduced in three sizes (9x12, 12x16, and 15x20) both framed and unframed.
