Gregory Moore, who is the Managing Editor of the San Antonio Informer, and who also writes for blackathlete.net, has written a public apology to Reade Seligmann, Dave Evans, and Colin Finnerty. Moore discusses taking pleasure in the charges and says "[a]nd all of those thoughts come from the mere fact that personally I think that these young men and their families needed to have become a part of American history as well so that they can now tell others just how wrong being falsely accused can be and work towards making sure that the justice system is for everyone."
Well, nice to know their agony was useful to Mr. Moore. It's not as heartfelt an apology as he suggests, but it is an apology and infinitely better than the non-apologies coming from many in the media, not to mention quite a few faculty members at Duke.
