As far as fans are concerned, it's all over but the waiting as coach Gail Goestenkors decides whether or not to accept an offer from Texas. She is set to meet with officials from Duke. We don't have any firm inside information, but our sense is that Duke has a shot at retaining Goestenkors if they treat her with the respect she deserves and buttress the program in meaningful ways.
Between 200-300 people turned out for the rally Thursday night and one hopes that made some impression. Among those attending: Marty Pocius, Greg Paulus, and Johnny Dawkins, who said, "hey, I want her to stay, too."
