Some time ago, to the apparent bafflement of the Love family, Coach K quit recruiting Kevin, who is one of the great prizes of this class. At the time, Love said he didn't understand why, but Coach K quit recruiting him.
We didn't get it either, but after reading this article about Kevin, and this one about his dad, we might have an idea why. We've heard of various bizarre things from fathers and family members - Ken Burgess and Joe Gminski were no days at the beach - but we've never heard of anyone taking out a restraining order against his kid's coach, "forbidding the coach from communicating with his son, the media or recruiters."
All things considered, passing on this kid was a wise idea.
