Why Not?

There is discussion now about the ACC regular season moving to 18 games, which would move things closer to a round-robin again, but would still leave an imperfect schedule. We completely understand why coaches are opposed to more conference games. It's a brutal schedule, and every couple of years, someone loses his job because he hasn't won enough. But let's get real: the current schedule is a joke, and there's no real way to know who is best other than the tournament - and that's harder now, with some teams playing three days and some playing four.So why not bite the bullet and go back to a round-robin? Obviously, it'd be daunting, and would take away some creampuff games early in the year. But it would also add something back to the conference that it's missing right now.
