ACC Roundup

So far this season, Davidson has given Duke, UNC, and UCLA great games. You can add N.C. State to the list, as the Pack nipped Davidson by one, 65-64. Stephen Curry almost pulled off a half-court shot.

Despite trying to blow it, State did manage to pull it off, and it's a big win for them.

Clemson had a solid game against Jerry Wainwright's DePaul team, winning 90-74. DePaul had no answer for Trevor Booker, who finished with 18 points and 10 boards. James Mays, who had hoped to return early from his hip injury, has not made it back yet.

Here's a pleasant question for the rest of the ACC but not a nice one for UNC: What would it be like without Tyler Hansbrough?

Saturday is a busy day for the ACC, with UNC hosting Santa Barbara, Elon at Virginia, Georgia Tech gets the Gentlemen from Centenary, B.C. has a neighborhood brawl with Northeastern, Maryland has their own with American, Florida State gets Providence, and Clemson plays Mississippi in the finals in Puerto Rico.

At 4-5, Georgia Tech has dug a bit of a hole. They have a chance to get out of it to some extent, with games against Tennessee Tech, FSU, and Presbyterian coming up. If they play as well as they did against Kansas, they can play with most teams.

One more reason to like Bambale Osby: he appears to be fine with no longer starting.

Here's another article about Bobby Cremins and his latest homecoming at South Carolina. Presumably, the fans have forgiven him for his legendary bailout on South Carolina, which you would expect: no one stays mad at Bobby for long.
