ACC Roundup

In Friday's only ACC action, Florida State beat Stetson 72-59.

In one of the bigger ACC games Saturday, Clemson is taking on rival South Carolina, but without James Mays, and that's a tough loss. May is recovering from a hip injury but was playing very well before that.

Wake is trying to put the Charlotte game behind them. South Carolina Upstate is not a bad way to get started on that.

UNC has Kentucky, and while Kentucky is pretty weak this season, that's one of those games that everyone gets excited about. Tyler Hansbrough is no exception. By the way, Patrick Patterson sounds pretty tired of UNC already. He's also expecting to win.

Ol' Roy Williams says not to expect Ty Lawson on Saturday, but UNC has a long history of saying someone is just not ready...and then somehow he's ready.

Sidney Lowe had no real pressure last season. This year, though, there are expectations, and State fans are not very happy.

Georgia Tech goes to Vandy Saturday, and that's a tough opponent lately.

Virginia Tech gets Asheville and should win that. Providence visits B.C. too.
