We've never really thought too much of Jim Calhoun, and there are number of reasons why. Take his scam at UConn where he traded tickets for new car (he wasn't the only one), or that other coaches aren't sure he's an ethical recruiter, meaning not that he cheats but some think he violates a code of ethics, by recruiting guys who have already committed elsewhere (or dumping ones he sours on).Toss in his handling of the laptop mess not too long ago and his ridiculous feud with Gino Auriemma (in fairness, he has trouble getting a long with a lot of people), and you have a real winner.
So if what Dick Weiss says here is true, it doesn't come as a great surprise, at least not to us.
