ACC Roundup

In ACC news, after beating Duke on the road and UNC at home, Virginia
Tech is back in the polls
for the first time in a decade or so.

Bobby Frasor has had a tough year due to injuries. The
trend continues,
unfortunately for Frasor and the Heels. And speaking of the Heels, on Wednesday, the matchup with Clemson looms, but instead of first place being on the line, something more critical is: staying out of fifth place. The ACC is terribly unforgiving.

Tuesday sees two ACC games, with Miami at B.C. and Maryland at
Virginia. Given Miami's injuries, B.C. is a heavy favorite and will
pad its lead to 5-0. The Maryland-Virginia game is much more
interesting. Both teams have been erratic and unsteady at times and they
are in a three way tie with Duke for seventh place. Maryland
is about to start a major road swing
, with four of the five next games away
from College Park, and their freshmen guards will have to grow up fast.
