This is a busy time for Coach G. In addition to being an assistant
coach for the national team, she's also quite active on the recruiting
front. Last weekend saw the official visit of Jasmine Thomas, a point guard who is one of the top
recruits in the class of 2007. She has been Duke's sole guard target in
that class for quite some time, and so it was nice to have her visit town.
Her game is not unlike Lindsey Harding's only with more of an offensive
mindset. Also in for a visit was top-notch 2008 post Lynetta Kizer.
This upcoming weekend is another crucial one for Duke's recruiting
efforts. 6-5 center Kelley Cain is coming to town, and she's Duke's other
main target for the class of 2007. Cain is a low-post space-eater with
incredible hands and plenty of power, and it would be nice to see her
playing next to uber-athlete Krystal Thomas. Also visiting is 5-11
leaper Karima Christmas, a wing with a lot of upside.
