Perhaps the biggest upset in the World Championships so far is the victory
over France by Lebanon, a loss which France's Joseph Gomis termed "very
embarrassing."
While everyone has rightly said that the U.S. can be beaten, what isn't said
as often is that just about anyone else can as well. France has some
serious talent, even without the injured Tony Parker. Lebanon had trouble
just getting to Japan with everything that's gone on back home, and their coach
was sick for this game. Pretty remarkable performance.
