Michaels is pretty much tossing in the towel when it comes to the lacrosse
case.
Caveat: assuming this poster is definitely Cash Michaels. But it
seems to be, at least from here.
Michaels, from the African-American newspaper the Wilmington Journal, has
been one of the leading advocates of the AV in this case. Now, though,
citing a lack of evidence, he is quickly backing away from his previous
position: "if the state can't prove its case, which is what it promised (overpromised
really), then it needs to be dismissed, because no one likes to be lied to."
Then he went on a New York radio show and really laid into Nifong. Here's
