We had mixed feelings about Ed Cota when he was at UNC. On the one
hand, he was brilliant at controlling the game from the point (at least
offensively). On the other, he was a yapper, and often his yapping was somewhat
juvenile if not childish.
But at this point, it's hard not to admire his nerve. He's
signed up to play ball in Israel, during a war no less, and while his career
may be sliding, and he may not have as many choices as he once had, a lot of
people would be scared to go into a war zone.
Then again, Cota did grow up in Brooklyn.
