We don't know a whole lot about John Danowski - to be perfectly frank, before
this spring we didn't know a whole lot about lacrosse in general. We knew
it was "the little brother of war," as the Iroquois called it, and we
knew Jim Brown was perhaps better in lacrosse than he was in football, and that
Johns Hopkins was a huge presence in the sport, along with Maryland and UVa, but
that was about it.
But he certainly
seems to be saying the right things. He seems grounded and mature and not
inclined to put up with a lot of nonsense. The lax team has a lot of work
to do to put all of this behind them, but Danowski seems like a strong candidate
to make that work.
