One of the things that is hindering N.C. State's search is that
the UNC system does not guarantee anything but the base salary.
Pair that with the way Herb Sendek was treated, and you have a potential
problem, because any coach who doesn't succeed at a higher level than Sendek
could be run off and have little to show for it.
But on the other hand, couldn't they have the booster club sign him to a contract?
